New Gulftainer terminal chooses Jade software

Jade Software's container and general cargo terminal operating system, Jade Master Terminal (JMT), will be installed at the new container terminal in the port of Ruwais, Abu Dhabi. The facility will be managed by Gulftainer, which handled nearly 3m containers in its terminals in the region last year.

Craig Richardson, Jade Software MD, said Gulftainer is a key strategic customer for the company's growing marine terminals business in major ports.

"We are very pleased to expand our JMT footprint into the Middle East with award-winning terminal operator Gulftainer," he said. "This is another vote of confidence in the JMT product, increasingly being recognised as one of the best products for managing multimodal marine terminals."

He added that interest in JMT has steadily grown among new and existing customers. The recent expansion of Jade's operations has seen the Auckland-based company open offices in London, Los Angeles, Sydney and Toronto.
